First race on my new TTX. Race #4 was a 10 mile TT. The weather was perfect warm and low winds. The course was fun to blast thru. A challenging little climb between miles 3-4 and then a couple of miles with a few technical S turns and the final 3 miles were flat to downhill with just a small little incline with about 3/4 of a mile to go.
In the Masters race I went out hard and tried to hang on. My computer malfunctioned so I was never quite sure where I was at in regards to distance and time so I just kept pressing as hard as I could.
Hit the the line in 22:58 (26.1 Avg/mph) and was pretty pleased with my finish and overall performance.
I came back about 50 minutes later and competed in the Cat 4/5 race. Took another 2nd place with a time of 23:12 (25.9 avg/mph). Got my computer working this time around. The hill took some juice out of my legs but being familiar with the course I was able to make up some time over the final 3 miles.
My times were 8th and 14th fastest within the entire field of 130+ competitors.
