Techumseh's Revenge at Scioto Trails

First expert distance race for me was a tuff one. Only 5 guys lined up in the over 35 class and I came in 2nd. The real problem was 1st place destroyed me. Very hilly course which, after last week was difficult for me. Several Backroom riders showed up and stood on the Podium. Congrats to Linscott and Tony on their placings

It was great to get out to my first Ohio MTB race of the year. On the first lap at roughly mile five I puncture flatted and found my CO2 canister didn't work, so I started to hike out of the woods. Luckily another rider gave me his hand pump and I was finally back on the trail after easily 6+minutes. I made up time on the climbs and road sections to take second in my class and third in the combined wave. Far better than I anticipated after such a lengthly pit stop early on. Great job to all of the team who raced.

Smaller field so for award they combined 40-60 and the Horses. Finished 4th in combine group.

Hard Ass Race. 3000+ over 20 miles of trails and park roads. Rode at my own pace and felt really good going into the long road climb at front end of lap two. Was 4th in my group and further back in the combined group as I went into lap 2. Passed a couple dudes from the 50-59 group in the first few miles of that lap then passed the 3rd place guy in my class on the last couple miles.
