Small but competitive field. Two loop swim on the Long Island Sound off Calf Pasture Beach. Transition area was right on the beach. Very hilly bike route, but the scenery was definitely worth it. Beautiful rolling hills through a few nature preserves. 1 flat tire and 1 dropped chain added to my disappointing ride. A well-run, small, half-ironman event in a quiet beach town.
